What deals are you offering to your first time buyers?

One of the UK’s biggest volume conveyancing solicitors, Goldsmith Williams, is offering a free ‘housewarming gift’ to their first time buyers.  Following the recent budget announcement it is thought that this will encourage first time buyers to make the most of the final year of stamp duty exemption.
The offer includes 10% off their standard legal fees and buyers can claim £50.00 worth of B&Q or Marks & Spencer vouchers upon completion of their residential purchase.  There are conditions however as the purchase must not be on a buy to let basis and must be within the 1% stamp duty band.
Head of Conveyancing at Goldsmith Williams, Lynne McCaffrey, said:
“Many first time buyers find it difficult to decide when is best to take their first step on the property ladder.
The stamp duty exemption allows people to buy houses up to the value of £250,000.00, which is particularly useful for those in higher priced areas such as the South East, meaning that this could be a good time to make the move.
However, the exemption is only in place for the next 12 months so it’s important to take advantage of it while they can.  We are offering a further incentive by giving first time buyers a little something to help them get started in their new home”.
