Today's Conveyancer

Welcome to the new look Today’s Conveyancer

It’s been nearly two years in the making, but today we finally got to unwrap and show off the new look Today’s Conveyancer.

It’s been all change since I started writing for the site back in October, having previously been writing for local and national press, and it’s been great to see the site’s readership and subscriber numbers growing each month.

There have been big changes in the conveyancing and wider housing market, with the demise of Veyo, the buy-to-let stamp duty rush causing a month to month drop in transactions of over 100,000 from March to April, something conveyancers will be scaring their future juniors with for years to come, as well as the drip drip of conveyancing and deposit redirection fraud.

There are also big changes in housing and conveyancing to come, with George Osborne’s second crack at privatising Land Registry proving as popular as you’d expect. There is also the forthcoming consultation on reforming the home buying process which one hopes will be more effective than the last attempt, the ill fated home information packs.

As always, we’re glad to have you along as readers, and hope you like the new look. If you have any questions, feedback, story tips or ideas, please feel free to contact the news team here on news@practicalvision.co.uk.
