Veyo needs you!

Since the beginning of November 2014, the up and coming, and widely scrutinised home conveyancing portal, Veyo, has been conducting a weekly Home Movers’ survey to discover what consumers are looking for from property services. The Law Society are now commissioning a new research programme, calling for the professionals to have their say.

It’s been reported that on Christmas Eve, emails were sent to conveyancers and property professionals across the nation, asking for their valuable input within a 10 minute survey. This research is being carried out in partnership with Morar Consulting and aims to investigate the current practices and pitfalls that conveyancers face on a regular basis.

The questionnaire itself goes into depth about the professional circumstances of the participants; asking where they are based, the size of their firm, and the volume of instructions taken monthly. It continues by delving into the most stressful processes in the industry and the most common causes of issues in conveyancing, and how these can be improved. It’s clear that Veyo are looking into providing the most comprehensive system, but do you think the biggest concerns can be irradicated, or even reduced by a new portal?

The survey then finishes with a video about Veyo and asks participants to rate how appealing they find the system and the likelihood of uptake, having watched the clip.

Elliot Vigar, CEO of Veyo, comments: “Veyo will be a game changer for the industry. We anticipate a significant market share of residential property transactions in England and Wales will go through the portal. However, it is vital we engage the whole industry now.

“Throughout the development process we have been talking to the Industry, but this is the first time we have created an opportunity for all conveyancing professionals to express their views on both the home buying process and Veyo’s offering at a click of a button. Veyo will be widely used throughout the industry and we are therefore keen to amass representative comments from the whole market, from both solicitors and conveyancers, and one-man bands to the biggest conveyancing corporations throughout the country.”

All professionals who take part in the survey will be offered a report formulated from the Home Movers’ survey. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain knowledge on consumer mindsets, which will help you to analyse and improve service offering and delivery.

A representative from the Law Society has stated there is currently no closing date scheduled for the survey, as they are keen to gain as much insight as possible from the industry.
