SRA issue alert warning of a bogus website

In their seventh alert issued during March the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) have warned the public to “be wary if they are contacted by anyone looking at a website claiming to belong to Terry Taylor and Shaw Solicitors”.
The SRA say they have received information relating to a website http://www.ttshawssolicitors.net/ which relates to a firm called Terry Taylor & Shaw Solicitors of 7 Coach House Yard, Hampstead High Street, London, NW3 1QF, giving the telephone number +44 702 402 2441 and a fax number of +44702 407 8030.  The site gives an email address admin@ttshawssolicitors.info and also indicates an SRA registration number which in fact relates to another firm authorised and regulated by the SRA.
The SRA have confirmed that they do not regulate or authorise any such firm and any dealings with Terry Taylor & Shaw Solicitors are not carried out by either an SRA regulated firm or individual.
The SRA asks for:
“Any information about or dealings with "Terry Taylor & Shaw Solicitors", at 7 Coach House Yard, Hampstead High Street, London, NW3 1QF or via telephone number 44 702 402 2441, fax number 44 702 407 8030 or email address admin@ttshawssolicitors.info, particularly if it involves the payment of money, should be reported to the police.”
Members of the public who have been affected by the matter can make a report to the SRA by emailing fraud@sra.org.uk    Solicitors should make a report on the SRA red alert line 0845 8500999 or by email redalert@sra.org.uk
