SLC announce conference details

The Society of Licensed Conveyancers (SLC) has announced their annual conveyancing conference will take place on the 20th November at the Riverside Centre in Derby.

It is the third year the conference has run, offering members of the conveyancing profession a day of topical presentations and discussions.

The conference will run between 9:30 am and 5:00pm and a complimentary lunch will be provided for all delegates.

The conference is free to SLC members, with a charge of £100 per person for non-members (refundable for those who join the SLC either as full or associate members at the event). Membership of the SLC is open to all legal professionals not just Licensed Conveyancers.

Six CPD points will be available for every attendee.

Anyone interested is advised to book soon due to the popularity of the event.

The CLC’s Sheila Kumar will be speaking at the event, along with other key industry figures. Paul Lewis, who presents Money Box on BBC Radio 4 will chair the event and be sharing his thoughts and market insights with attendees throughout the day.

Simon Law, Chairman of the SLC said: “Since we re-launched the annual conference back in 2011 we have seen attendance numbers grow as fellow conveyancers from across the profession take the opportunity to access a host of very relevant and informative presentations on topics that directly impact on us and the way in which we operate.

“This year’s event looks set to be bigger than ever and with so many high profile speakers having committed to share their industry knowledge and expertise with the audience, we are confident that yet again, this will prove to be a must attend event.”
