Regional Award winner – one year later

Napthens share their experience of becoming an award winner at last year’s LFS Awards.

Napthens was named the North West’s top conveyancing firm when our Residential Conveyancing team won the title of Regional Conveyancing Firm 2014.

We were particularly proud of this result, as the award is judged by a panel of industry experts from organisations including the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA), and banking group Santander. To be selected by a group of your industry peers is a clear sign you’re doing something right.

Looking back on the judge’s comments is further proof; it was said that, “At Napthens clients come first. The ethos of the firm is that a client is for life…”. This is exactly how we encourage all staff to act on a day-to-day basis.

The award process was rewarding from start to finish, encouraging us to examine our own processes closely thanks to a thorough assessment by the award organisers. Everything was examined from telephone behaviour to the way we provided quotes, to the paperwork we provide clients.

Winning the award is still delivering benefits a year later. It has had a clear impact on our reputation and visibility as a conveyancing firm. Estate agents are more aware of us, and recognise that we will deliver on our promises, giving us a real edge in terms of service levels when compared to other firms in the region.

Clients, while probably less aware of the award than our professional contacts, do ask us about the award thanks to local publicity and the references we make on our own documents. This has prompted discussion and engagement that might not have occurred otherwise.

We all know that recruitment can be tough, and a lot of interviewees have mentioned the award in interviews, across the firm. They are clearly impressed, and being an award-winning firm speaks volumes in terms of the quality of our work, and as a place to work.

Finally, within the legal and conveyancing industries themselves, this award is recognised as a real accolade, and has been a confidence boost among staff and considered a very valuable and important process to go through.

For anyone thinking of taking part in these awards we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend they go ahead. It has been time well spent and offered a number of solid benefits in the 12 months since.
