myhomemove moves to Manchester as housing market continues to grow

Following the demise of Barnetts earlier this week and the acquistion of its assets from its administrator by a licensed conveyancer DC Law, another large licensed conveyancer has announced its growth plans in Manchester. In a statement issued this afternoon myhomemove has stated: "myhomemove, one of the UK’s leading provider of mover conveyancing, is set to expand, as it prepares to move into new premises in Manchester. The company which helped over 38,000 people to buy, sell or remortgage their homes in 2013 will occupy two floors of Linley House, situated in the heart of city, which is set to open on the 3rd February. The move comes as the company continues with its ambitious growth plans, aiming to treble its operational activities by 2016 and complete 100,000 mover conveyancing cases a year. By choosing to create a major site in Manchester, myhomemove is confident it can recruit the best legal professionals currently working and training across the region. Doug Crawford, CEO of myhomemove, explains, “Last year we increased our transactional volumes by 40% – a strong indication that the market is continuing to grow as consumer confidence returns. This is an incredibly exciting time for myhomemove, especially as this expansion marks the next phase in our development. We have always been a forward thinking and innovative company, so it’s full steam ahead as we reach for 100,000 completions by 2016.” myhomemove’s head office is located in Leicester, with a sister office situated in Blisworth, Northamptonshire. Presently the company, which is the market leader in mover conveyancing, employs over 400 members of staff in the UK and works with an introducing network to help tens of thousands of people move home each year. Continuing, Doug said, “Our new centre in Manchester will become a hub of conveyancing excellence, creating over 200 new jobs in the next two years. It will enable us to deliver the exceptional service we pride ourselves on, as we take on more business. With over 18,000 legal professionals currently working and training in the city, we are in an excellent position to recruit the best people possible; and with a target of over 50,000 mover completions to achieve by the end of this year, our move to Manchester has come at the perfect time.”"
