Lender launches self-employed mortgage range

Available exclusively for self-employed borrowers, a newly revised range of mortgages have recently been released by Newcastle Intermediaries.

Starting at 2.10%, two-year fixed rates are available as well as free valuations for properties up to £500,000.

As part of their commitment to making the mortgage application process easier, the lender revised its policy in 2016 and the new range has come in the wake of this.

Only requiring a year’s worth of accounts, an SA302 form or a completed accountant’s certificate, and individual case assessment is now used.

Newcastle Intermediaries self-employed products are accessible through various networks and clubs such as Mortgage Advice Bureau and The Mortgage Alliance.

Commenting on the new mortgages was Steve Carruthers. The Head of Mortgage Distribution at Newcastle Intermediaries highlighted the need to appropriately cater for self-employed clients.

“We’re continuing to provide much needed support to a growing group of self-employed individuals with the launch of this revised range of mortgages.

“We appreciate that one size doesn’t fit all and it can be difficult to find a lender that truly understands the needs of self-employed clients. That’s why our policy aims to make the application process much easier.”
