Michael Coogan, former Director General of the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML) will join business advisory firm, Deloitte, from Monday 9 January as Strategic Adviser to the firm’s financial services practice.
Working closely with the Retail Banking and Building Society Advisory group Michael will be focusing on development of the firm’s “insights into the retail banking and mortgage market”, providing advice to Deloitte’s clients.
Michael’s former role as Director General of the CML, a post that he held for almost 15 years, made him well known for his desire to radically alter the way in which conveyancers work with lenders and this appointment may help him further those ideas.
