Conveyancing Foundation raise £10,000 on bike ride for Magic Moments

Members of the Conveyancing Foundation managed to raise over £10,000 for a charity for terminally ill children by cycling from Cardiff to Colchester over three days.

The Magic Moments Charity was founded by estate agents Spicerhaart ten years ago to take terminally ill children on once in a lifetime holidays to Disneyland Paris, which they might not otherwise be able to.

In all, forty cyclists took part with fifteen doing the whole journey organised by Magic Moments. In total £71,000 was raised for he charity, including the £10,000 raised by the Conveyancing Foundation.

Chairman of the Conveyancing Foundation, Lloyd Davies, said: “Everyone at the Conveyancing Foundation was delighted to take part in such a wonderful event.  Thank you to all the cyclists for your friendship and encouragement throughout the three days. It was tough but we had an absolute blast at the same time.

“Thank you also to those members of the Conveyancing Association who made a donation at the CA Dinner following our recent AGM at the end of April. It has been fantastic to play a small part in such a fantastic achievement.”

Chairman of Magic Moments, Jonathan Martin, said: “It was a fantastic event and it was incredible to see these cyclists work so hard over the three days of the cycle. A massive thank you to everyone who took part and to our sponsors who helped to make the fundraising initiative such a great success. To raise over £70k in such a short space of time is a fantastic accolade.

“Thank you also to the Conveyancing Foundation for its fantastic support in raising over £10,000 for Magic Moments. Everyone had a great time – despite the trying circumstances – and some great friendships were formed over the three days.”
