Conveyancer Elected Mayor

Sara Wakefield a conveyancer and trainee solicitor from the Cheshire based law firm Rowlinsons has been elected as the new Mayor of Frodsham.

After joining Rowlinsons in 2009 as a paralegal, Sara was promoted to Conveyancing Executive in the law firm’s award winning Conveyancing Team. Last month the team were awarded the Property Award at the Liverpool Law Society Legal Awards.
Sara has taken a keen interest in what issues affect the people in her local community and her role as councillor from 2003-2005, and again since 2011, has helped inspire her career in law.
Rowlinsons Managing Director, Denis Stevenson said: “We are delighted for Sara and not surprised that she has become Mayor. She has drive and an abundance of commitment in everything she does. She will be an excellent Mayor and serve Frodsham well. We are proud to have her in the Rowlinsons team.”
Sara comments: “Being elected Mayor is an absolute honour. My fiancé Greig and I moved here 12 years ago and fell in love with it as a place to live, work and shop.
“I have always been interested in the decisions that affect people’s everyday lives, such as planning and road safety. As vice chair of the planning committee on Frodsham Town Council I have been able to play a part in the important issues affecting the Frodsham community. That will continue in my role as Mayor on a wider scale where I promise to represent the people of Frodsham to the best of my abilities.”
