Specialist conveyancing firm, South Wales-based Convey Law are set to expand with openings for 25 recent law graduates and paralegals looking to become conveyancers.
The Newport-based company was recently voted “one to watch” in the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For in 2015 and also recently received the Gold Investors In People accreditation.
The new recruits can expect to become fully fledged licensed conveyancers within two years or less depending on their experience and qualification, whilst working.
The company has taken the decision on the basis of the currently buoyant property marketplace. Managing Director, Lloyd Davies, said: “Our Training and Development team at Convey Law have worked hard over the course of the last 24 months to put in place a structure where we can train graduates and paralegals into Junior Conveyancing roles within a very short period of time.
“Convey Law is a very progressive environment, we provide clear guidance to everyone who works here as to how to progress and achieve the career and salaries that they want to achieve. Every individual has a bespoke Learning Development Plan, which is constantly monitored to ensure that they are achieving their career objectives.
“We are looking to recruit up to 25 new Paralegals, who will ultimately become Junior Conveyancers, over the course of 2016. The first five recruits arrived in January and we are now recruiting for start dates in March, July and September. There are also positions for Conveyancers and Senior Conveyancers including positions for those who would like to take up supervisory and managerial roles.
“This is an exciting time for Convey Law and the conveyancing industry. Six new Junior Conveyancers moved into our ‘conveyancing nursery’ this year, where they learn their trade. Each one of them has their own caseload, which is directly supervised and audited by a Senior Conveyancer. By the end of the next 12 months, we expect these individuals to qualify as Licensed Conveyancers, to be working with an assistant Paralegal and to achieve the appropriate salary increase.
