Celebrations at Conveyancer of the Year Award

In what was a day full of razzamatazz Estate Agency Events filled one of the largest hotel venues in London for their award ceremony.  Throughout the day the atmosphere buzzed with anticipation.
Starting early in the day I attended the Leadership forum in the morning and was able to see the latest advances of Rightmove’s mobile technology to help estate agents sell their services before hearing Ben Fogle the “Accidental Explorer” tell us about the grit and determination needed to achieve our goals in life.
Most conveyancers haven’t rowed across the Atlantic in an open boat, raced Norwegians to the South pole on foot or swam with man eating crocodiles but many no doubt will have a sense of empathy with the need to persevere to achieve the goals we aspire to.
An independent panel of judges assessed the entrants for Conveyancer of the Year from a criteria set by a panel of independent judges with Bethany De Montjoie Rudolf introducing the awards that were sponsored by Law Firm Services.
Richard Mathias of Law Firm Services presented the awards with Ben Fogle.
Ashfords Solicitors based in Exeter won both the Conveyancer of the Year awards and the Large Conveyancer of the Year award.
Speaking the following morning Judith Park said “Every conveyancer knows how tough it is at the moment and what low margins all conveyancers work on.   It’s about the team that do the work and recognition of the exceptionally great customer service that they provide.  We are absolutely delighted and hugely proud.”
Awdry Bailey and Douglas were awarded the Small Conveyancer of the Year award for firms with less than 15 fee earners.
Andrew Douglas a partner at the firm said “Awdry Bailey and Douglas are extremely proud of the recognition that our conveyancing team has achieved but it is wider than that because it puts onto the map the importance of the High Street in the delivery of good quality conveyancing services”
In the Large Conveyancer of the Year Award the Leeds firm Shulmans claimed silver with My Home Move  being shortlisted for commendation.
Bronze for the Small Conveyancer of the Year Award was presented to Cunningtons and Silver to Advantage Property Lawyers.
My Home Move also won a silver award for best Supplier of the Year award.
We congratulate both firms for the recognition that they have rightly achieved with their awards.  It is good to see conveyancing excellence valued by important referrers to the conveyancing sector like estate agents.
