AA offers conveyancing

Following the AA being granted an ABS license last December the road recovery to insurance business has expanded into conveyancing.

The web service for the service appears here.

Consumers can obtain quotes 7 days a week  and have an 8am to 8pm response time weekdays.

The service also offers fixed legal fees and includes ‘mover protection’ to cover costs if the deal falls through examples of the way it works appear on the quote screen.

Talking to Best Advice Mark Huggins, managing director of AA Ventures, said: “This is a logical development of the AA’s expanding range of home and legal services and a perfect fit with the AA’s ‘most trusted brand’ status.

“It’s launched at a time when the home sales and prices are beginning to pick up, with 19% more homes changing hands than a year ago.”

“Many people are unsure where to go for conveyancing and selecting a suitable law firm can be daunting. AA Home Conveyancing provides an instant online quote that includes all costs that might be expected with a home sale or purchase.”

It is understood that the AA manages the service through a panel manager and a panel of conveyancers.

Conveyancers may want to consider how the market is changing:

More and more brands with large client data bases are intermediating conveyancing.  Are you maximising the returns on your customer data base?

The AA like others has ABS status and could become a conveyancer in the future. Are you operating as efficiently as you can to maintain your profit margins?

Services like Mover Protection are being used to tempt customers. Have you considered offering the insurance products that are on the market that cover mover costs ?  See our interview with a leading provider here.
